![]() It needs to have more water flow directed on to it. Leathers molt every now & again but need a little direct flow on them to help it through this phase.

![]() They do well with plenty of water flow and optimal (or at least decent) water chemistry. If algae is an ongoing problem you probably have high levels of nitrate and or phosphate. You may need to make some changes to your maintenance practices or filtration but without more information on your system I'm just making assumptions.
