Aaron how many would I need for a 8 foot tank with LPS's mainly Acans and clams squamosa's on the bottom.

I'd use 3 of the 112's to cover the length of it.

I use a light rail too Aaron so will t6hat make a difference and how high do you have them from the water

Single on a lightrail should be fine, I'd look at a minimum 18" to start on the 112

whats the price of them and why only 1 year warranty. 1 year doesn't sound very promising

What Ecoray set up would you suggest for a 180g reef? Also, I see these units are not dimmable but have seperate cords for white/blue LEDs, could you run these through an ordinary household dimmer switch?
