Default how she goes gang!!!!!!!!!!!!!

guess who!!!!!!

haha its been a while havent had a computer or internet for the past few months or whatever lol.... its been a rollercoaster ride to say the least i had a falling out with my friend and i moved out with another friend. i had to leave the cubetank there untill i got my own place and for the month or 2 it was there it was completely neglected no water changes lights left on left off fish fed whenever what ever......when i got into my new place i went and got my tank i almost cried to see it completely covered in algae of all kinds, my fish were scared to come out of their hiding places and my corals were goners.i tore it all down and moved it to my new house during the move i lost my large cinnamon clown so only the chromis made it. i decided to put the 60g on hold and move it into a 20g for now i have a job that keeps me really busy so i want a less maintanance of a tank and less cost.

nitrates and phosphates were off the color chart and right through the roof.......algae everywhere on every inch of rock.....amonia was present......cal,alk,mg were all over the place.....alot of work to be had so i got right to it.

i cleaned off what i could manually, i did major water changes starting with 70% and working my way to 10% every few days.i cut my lights and built a gatorade reactor and started running carbon and rowa phos.

once things got back to somewhat normal and amonia disappeared i added a few turbo snails and a lawn mower blenny to help with the algae battle.

as it stands now i still have some algae but the snails are making quick work of it and now that my nitrates and phosphates are zero its dieing off pretty quick i can actually see more purple every day.adding the rowa phos has kept my film algae down and my phosphates at zero.

i have since added a green open brain which is doing amazing, ive added a few zoas and some feather dusters and some orange monti and all of them are doing awesome.i bought a purple lta but it was bleached yellow when i got it, i didnt pay much for it and now its all purple with a few arms still yellow but its def a healthy anemone now and the yellow is dissappearing

i bought an baby ocellaris and he just loves the feather dusters and hides and plays with my brain, he swims to the nem and stares at it then turns and goes somewhere else lol
