Default Super Reef Octopus LX 1000S Problem.

I can't get my skimmer to dial in, keep overflowing the cup
every 3-5 minutes. Is there a way to adjust the air intake?
I have a Super Reef Octopus LX 1000S Hang-on-Back
Protein Skimmer that I bought used on Canreef a couple of months
ago. Got it home and it worked great until the fitting for the
airline attached to the pump intake came loose. I epoxied it back in place
and let it sit for a couple of weeks because I had a Remora as backup
and I wanted to see how it worked. Switched it back tonight
because Remora stopped working (another issue for later).
As I said, the bubbles are huge and overflow the cup within
minutes. Is it just reacting to something in my tank?
Is it reacting to the epoxy? was the Remora doing such a bad job
that it has to much to remove?
It was working perfectly before the airline fitting fell off.
I have raised the cup up as high as it can go. is there something else
i can do??????
Of course every skimmer I have sitting around has decided to not work just when I
need a backup.

Any ideas out there ???
