Default Looking for info on magnisium dosing levels.

I'd like to put magnisium on my doser, but wonder if it's really nessesary. My mag level hovers around 1250ish, and the tank doesn't use al lot of mag. Looking for opinions or amounts of magnisium, that other tanks use. Just to give me a idea. Thanks

It will depend if you are keeping corals or not. if NOT, then I wouldn't worry about it. But if you are keeping corals, especially SPS, then you should maintain your MG levels at around 1350... So you are a little low then.

I use the following link to calculate my dosages to get things back on track.

suggest RHF 2 part recipe as a guide for a start. For every gallon of Ca and Alk, 2.5 cups Mg.

Also look into Balling method (my understanding the 3rd part basically Mg and trace elements)
