![]() Here is my Splendid Leopard wrasse. I've had it for a month. It was chased by my neon dottyback for about 5-7 days before it would come out of the sand to eat. Eats like a pig now. In the background is my other Leopard wrasse. It was sold as a Potters but it looks more like an Ornate. I've had that one for 10 months.

![]() There are various names for this leopard wrasse:
Splendid, African, Vermiculate, Divided, Bipartitus, Blue Star Macropharyngodon bipartitus bipartitus http://animal-world.com/encyclo/mari...pardWrasse.php Mine is a female. Males look completely different. Here's a pic from the net: Your black one is a Macropharyngodon negrosensis. Sometimes called Yellowspotted leopard wrasse. Males and female black leopard wrasses look similar. The male will have less spots and some lines on its face but are still black. http://animal-world.com/encyclo/mari...pardWrasse.php Here's a pic of a male black leopard wrasse from Liveaquaria. ![]() And here's an example of a female from the net ![]() I used to have a couple of black leopard wrasses for a few years and sold them when they got big as I needed to reduce my bioload. I sure am missing them now. Quote:
