![]() Hi I'm new to sumps, as I own a 10 g nano the "sump" is already built in the tank as 3 chambers. But I would be upgrading to a 29 gallon in the next month or so, so I was wondering for those who have a nano around 29 gallon or more how did u build a external sump, skimmer, refuge . I would be turning this into a reef tank with sps.
So my question is how big of a sump (gallons) should be for a 29 gallon cube, and if I could get away without using a refuge. What brand and model of sump or skimmer is best for me, don't need nothing crazy expensive tho, just good enough to last and do the Job for a reef tank. Tnx |

![]() Is yours a reef tank ? Yeh I notice some cube owners go no sump and do perfectly fine but I would like to have the insurance and peace of mind with having one knowing it will help with my water quality.
Is that skimmer expensive? |
