![]() So, unfortunately I have to shut down my 187 gallon due to a leaking roof, so I figure i'd set up something to keep my hobby going until I can get a big tank up and running again.
My Microwave took a second seat, as I placed it in the cubby designed for the microwave. Looks awesome where it is. Equipment 10 Gallon regular tank AC110 Fuge Mod 70W Fish Need It HQI w/ 20,000K bulb (now running a Odyssea 150W Halide with a Phoenix 14K bulb) + 2 15 Watt T5 Actinics.) Modified 10 Gallon Canopy light with 6000K bulb for fuge light Marineland 100W Stealth heater Stock (Updated 02/03/2011) 30 Lbs premium rock Florida Crushed Coral substrate 3" Crocea Clam 4" Squamosa Clam Hawaii Feather Duster 4 Zoo frags 1 Green Paly frag Purple birdsnest frag Green Milli frag 3 small Yuma Rics Lots of green and blue mushrooms Lots of green hairy mushrooms Green Trumpet Coral (20+ Polyps) Neon Green Trumpet Coral GSP's 1 Clown 1 Bi-color Dottyback 1 Fire Shrimp 1 Gold Coral Banded Shrimp 3 black margarita snails 2 Crown Snails I plan on trying out SPS. ![]() What a wicked place to put a tank, if you buy one or two of the 50W Blue LED Strip lights from ocean city finding snacks in the dark will never be a problem again
![]() Best part is there only $50.00 each and will work perfectly for your supplements (While the halide runs) , actinics (2 of them) and night lights (1 of them). |

![]() ooh and If your really set on keeping SPS in the long run you might have to sell of a few of those softies, unless you are running carbon you could get some nasty chemical warfare in a tank that size.

![]() I am running Chemi Pure Elite in the First section of the fuge. Would that be enough? Though I have no issue getting rid of the softies.
Now I just have to find some SPS frags to test it out.

![]() I'd be ok with a 10 Hour lighting cycle on this guy with the 70W right?

![]() well it is a matter of PAR readings when it boils down to it. If that light can produce the PAR that your SPS needs then yah, it will be ok. Other than that you then start thinking about the color spectrum to try and 'contrl' the colors of your corals.
I think that light should be good for most SPS at that depth. Other than that keep that fuge rolling and the water clean and SPS should be fairly happy in that tank.
