Default LED's on CL - Any thoughts/Experience?

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...159280166.html

I am considering trying this for 2 things.

1. Moonlighting - My mandarins could use a good moon dance and currently I have nothing so would look at 4 - 8 feet (50" tank) of blue lights for this.
2. A strip of Red lighting for nighttime incognito viewing.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

The description say they are available with a Cree chip.

I dont know about the ones that guy on CL is selling, but you can get those way cheaper on EBAY (which is where he probably got his).

Just go on ebay and google: LED Strip

Look for the waterproof ones, as those strips come sealed in a plastic casing. I actually got 2 strips of blue ones off ebay before and I wired them up as moonlights. REALLY nice.

I think these are the ones I got:

These ones on CL have the Cree chip, which in my LED ignorance I assume is a good thing from reading others led experiences....
