Default What is best light for Red Sea Max 130?

I am debating between these lights to replace my current Red Sea Max canopy 150W MH because my canopy fan is broken and i am just that lazy or just don't have the skill to fix it.

What would be your choice, i understand that Tek won't give me shimmer effect but i am ok with it. I am more concern of color and able to growth any corals and clams

Any inputs are appreciated

ok let switch the topic a bit, i am still hunting for the perfect light for my red sea max 130

I have the Viper K2 250w + 2x Hagen Glo T5, but put them on looks very ugly :-(.

Now i wonder is there a good combo light 250w MH + T5 for 24 inch tank, except for that expensive Giesemann? Also, it must have tank bracket. What is your suggestion?

I've heard of some guy (he has a website somewhere...) that sells LED kits for the RSM...

Sorry, maybe I was wrong on the RSM. I think this was the site: http://www.nanocustoms.com/ But I only see Bio Cubes...

Here's a DIY with off the shelf LED strips for RSM: http://www.van-gessel.com/aquarium/conversion/

When you say that the viper looks ugly are you referring to the light it projects or the unit itself? If it is the light, maybe you can change the bulb to something cooler (14k)? I would also go the LED route as it won't be too expensive when compared to LED units for larger tanks

The viper looks kind of ugly. I will look into Led Retrofit for sure. Thanks
