Default little 33 zoa tank ****updated with pics jan 15****

a little peek at what ive been cooking up over the last few weeks its my new iddy biddy display, use to be my 33g mixed reef with a little bit of sps, i got rid of pretty much it all and went in a different direction added some softies and lps ,threw in a small unbrella and a carpet anemone(thanks to noirsphynx) added a deper sandbed , livestock are just a pair of cinnamon clowns and a lonely pj (pj is awaiting new home) . the light is just a metal halide light i put together using a couple old fixtures i had building up(1x250w).

id like to add something unique in the way of fish or invertebrate im just not sure what would love some suggestions(pj is awaiting new home)

Default new pics:)

hey all, rearranged some rock work slightly added a pile of zoas so now the carpet sits on the base of a hill with a small unbrella and kenya on top, theres also a gorgonian added on the far left. i made it so ill have a zoanthid valley at the base of the hill on the right , theres roughly 24 small zoa frags some on sand some on rock ,theres also two heads of real nice branching hammer, ten heads of green candycane,a med size green hammer coral, and a green/red brain, rbta.tank has an aiptasia problem that i keep puttin off hence the sandbed destined zoa's so im thinking my filefish is going to pack his suitcase and stop in for a couple weeks possibly stir up some trouble on the plus side the female clown has taken to the male....well sort of he has fins again but isnt gettin picked on anymore and is slowly being allowed to roam the tank and who knows maybe one day she"ll let him in the anemone

anyways heres the pics

full tank shots

thanks

Looking good except the pics are too tiny. Where'd all the zoas come from?

i know lol is there a way to make them bigger through photo bucket??

most of the zoas i got from different people couple heads here couple there , they were starting to get lost in my display because of bigger corals so when i got this carpet tank changed over i figured hey zoas are something small i can stick close to the sandbed where the carpet wont run em over if it ever went walking lol

i also just got some frags from kevin and doug from red coral, very nice colours(thanks again guys plus some deep water zoas from aquarium illusions

im shootin for a zoanthid valley with a liverock mountain housing a magnificant blue carpet and cinn clowns and an unbrella top untill it gets to big for there lol

theres also a small snowflake eel in there too the mountain is built around pvc piping you cant really see so he doesnt topple anything hell go in my display when hes bigger or when the crabs drive me nuts enough to put himn in there

Yup, that's better, lol. I like the zoa valley idea. I got some stuff from Red Coral not long ago too, nice stuff!

very nice stuff i asked them do do a surprise pak and i mean they could have threw in the brownest least attractive zoo's but they gave me a very nice variety i was super happy with them ill be getting more they are my zoa store now lol

i liked the valley idea cause theres no reason for the carpet to go down it and its made so the carpet is on an overhang and would be difficult to crawl down although not impossible

the biggest problem im having is the aiptasia in the valley and on the hill its everywhere and as soon as i put a frag down boom a head pops up, i dont want to remove the filefish from my display but im leaning towards it the proble is the filefish isnt exactly a fast swimmer and is curious im hoping that it has the sense to stay away from the carpet
