Default Aquarium Temp... What is yours?

Hello Everyone,

I run my aquarium temperature at 80 degress F, and it doesn't really fluctuate even when the fixture is on. Just wondering what everyone else runs their tanks at.

I read some articles where 82 degrees can be beneficial to coral as the increased temperature showed increased colorization and growth. Has anyone else read/seen this? and your thoughts?

I do know some run their tanks higher, not really by choice. And I guess there is some stats that show small temp swings can be beneficial. So I am just wondering should I increase temp to 82, or try to get some temp swings happening.

My tank swings from about 76 to 82 on a daily basis. My controller shuts the lights down at 82.5.

I have no heater running or chiller in my tank. The temp ranges from 79 - 84 ( not by choice). I would like to put in a dual stage controller to control a fan over my sump and a heater in order to keep it a little more stable.

In the fall to spring, 76-78 F.

In the summer, try to keep it at 80-83 F.

Was running 77-82 without the fans. Now 77-79 even with halides on. I am thinking about a controller because the fans are noisy and I don't want them on all the time
