300 Gallon Mixed Reef
Hey just thought I would start a tank journal for everyone here as I have been lurking around here for a while. My reefing started about 2 years ago when I purchased a used 100 gallon from some guy on kijiji. I had this tank for about a year and had some softies however due to the filtration ( fluval fx5) I did not do so well. durring the process I learned alot about reefkeeping and like most of us still learning.
My current setup was built by Jay and consists of about a 380 gallon flat back hex style tank and 60 gallon sump with fuge. I will post some pics when I get a chance. Return Pump Red Dragon 12 Lighting 6' Vertex Lumina 4 MP40's 2 more comming for back wall 200 lbs Live rock Skimmer SWC 250 s2 UV Filter Bio Pellets in UF 20 Yellow tang Hippo tang Orange shoulder Leathers and about 15 colonies or good sized frags SPS lots of other stuff too much to list right now pictures would help. So far very happy with the setup which has been in progress for about a year, and running for about 5-6 months. Chances are I will be switching to the Zeovit system as I like the KZ product very much. so I will let you guys/girls know how it goes. Thanks for all who looked and help me along the way I will try to post more when I have more time. You should walk down the street it might get you away from all the good grabs off can reef you thief. Pics to come!!! or just shoot on by.

It's about time Scott. Since I picked up the rock from you I had forgotten exactly which street you were on. We went for a family drive the other say so I could quickly give Kien some 1/2" and on the way around the street I saw 'the glow" and totally flipped out. Just ask my wife.
Then I realized it was you. WELCOME!

Hey guys thanks for looking I will try and post some pics tonight when I started the build so you can see how far it has come. If anyone wants to stop by for a beer feel free I love talking to other reefers with better ideas than me. I would like to possibly host a frag swap at some stage when things really start to take off in my tank, this is no joke. Cheers
