Default gorgonian back to life??

So my photosynthetic purple branching gorg died. There is nothing but its bare skeleton left. I couldnt stand to look at my beautiful coral that had died so I moved it uner my K1 in the shade next to some macro algae. I looked at it today and the white skeleton is turning purple. The main stem is black so i cant tell much of whats going on there. Could it be that its comming back to life or is it coraline algae taking over really really fast? Its only been in that spot for a couple of days and it was pure white before with a black main stem.

It could just be coraline and wishful thinking, but having said that, if there was something left of the flesh, they can heal and regrow over bare skeleton. If however it had all peeled off, then I'm afraid it's the first option.
