![]() What do you use to clean your SW equipment?
I picked up some stuff second hand and the stuff that was taken out of the sump is covered in stubborn little white speckles. It is not salt creep but being a FW guy I have no idea what this is or how to remove it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

![]() I'd try vinegar.
If you can tip the tank, try letting it pool at full strength. If not, you could possibly fill the tank with a water/vinegar solution (cosco has bulk vinegar for cheap).

![]() I think they are a species of vermitid snail but I'm not 100% positive (I have the exact same thing), I don't think a cleaning solution will help as they have grown onto your glass. Not something I would be obliged to remove from the tank as they are not detrimental to anythings health.

![]() I had the same kind of thing, didn't seem to bother anything but once the equipment was out of water and dried out they just scraped off

![]() If the tank is empty and dry I just use a single edged razor blade to clean them off. If the sump is already in use I would just leave them.
