Default Flames Fans

Well Flames fans what did you think of the "Free Agent Frenzy"? I can understand Tanguay but Jokinen??? He didn't fit the first time so what makes now different??? I'm kinda shocked and am hoping this is a part of a bigger deal!!

I cant belive they brought him back! I heard that he was a cancer in the room. they should have spent their money elsewhere.

I wouldn't say he was a cancer......all I ever heard was that he didn't fit in. That happens.
A cancer would be an Avery. I just don't get why they want him back? They wanted him as a passer.....hes a shooter. They wanted him to play with Iggy and that didn't work out so well either. And yea they should have spent that money somewhere else. I thought they would have made a play for Spezza.

Your Canucks on the other hand made some decent moves,I still hate them but they made some smart moves.

WOW i can't believe they took either..Tanguay wanted out when he leftand I don't believ he will be the player he was in round 1 with the flames...and Joke...seriuosly he was a total bust in Calgary last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even thoeugh ihe is much cheaper still WHY. To me these both smell like desperation.

Tanguay will surprise you. He had a bad year with Tampa and he has something to prove.
He never really turned sour til Calgary pretty much told him he was going. At least that's what I hope happens.

Honestly I hope Tang does return to his old form...Calgary is in a more hurting way than most would like to admit.I ama die hard Oil fan but I really do see more good in Edmonton right nowthanCalgary....at least we see light whereas the Flames are still looking like they are scrambling to just maintain

Edmonton is abit better from where they were last year, but
Nowhere near where you think they are. You dropped some dead weight, but still have issues just like Calgary.
Time will tell but on paper Calgary still has a better team thenEdmonton even with Hall.

Default agreed

i agree ollie belongs with iginla. i always thought ollie played well on the team despite the differences between him and his team mates

well talk all you want but i don't have much high hope any more. It has been 4 years and Sutter has very much done everything that the Flames Fans wants. Hockey is all about chemistry so just so hard to tell if team will do well or not until they actually play.

Even bring in Kovachulk won't promise Flames going to be a good team. On paper Flames are a good team but they suck on the ice.

Whatever Sutter does right now, I don't think it will improve The Flames until they change their "defensive" play style. It does not work any more with the new NHL
