Hey. So just noticed 2 of these things here in the tank, not really sure what it is. Anyone seen one before? Just a paly or something?

kind of looks like a small young hairy mushroom, just a guess.

Are you referring to the zoas/palys, the rhodactis mushroom in the middle or the live rock?

hmm... i do have a piece of rock that keeps shedding mushrooms but nothing of the hairy variety. I find it very interesting that you can just see things pop out of nowhere sometimes.

really? Hmm. I wonder where it came from? I got a couple of pieces of small LR from the LFS a couple of days ago but there in my refugium and they came out of there sump. Very interesting. Any thoughts on if it will cause an issue so close to the zoas? Thanks!

That is the name I was thinking of for the mushroom but had a brain fart and could not come up with it.
