I have a little stump of a Christmas tree coral left

it was ravaged by a cowrie hitchhiker it came with that is long disappeared, and never gotten enough food in my system. The small rock it is on has a small green chalice looking bit and a green random encrusting thing i want to keep. I will donate the x mass tree for free off the rock if anyone in ed would like it and is actually having luck taking care of non-photosynthetic filter feeders. or would trade for small frag of something if you want the whole little rock. it is currently .. about an inch tall down from the 4+ inches it was when i got it so this is pretty much its last hope for survival. there are also many tiny 1-2 polyp babys that formed as it shrunk around the base so there is hope, it just needs more food. |

that is an old picture from when the cowrie was eating all the polyps off.. since then it fully melted into a little ball then regrew some new polyps. when it melted the cowrie disapeared, and now the polyps that are there look like they are supposed to<not munched on> I was feeding the tank 1-2 times a day and sometimes target feeding and it still kept shrinking so it needs more. I will take a new pic when the lights are on and my company is gone. |
