A Freudian revelation...
I've figured out why so many guys are into SPS! Versus the women in the hobby, who are seemingly into everything, LPS, SPS, softies, polyps, fish...
It's because they are a phallic reference. It is the fact that with the proper equipment and tinkering you can make them <gasp> grow! It's simply phenomenal! Rather than just one, now you can fill a whole box with them! I could write my honours thesis on this...

Actually in my humble second-year opinion, Freud is bunk. Most of his theories are highly subjective/patriarchal... but it's fun to talk about most people, if they know anything about psychology, they know about Freud.
