![]() i remember now why i didnt like my coralife ss 65, its a piece of crap!!!!! unlike my coralife 220 which has always worked great ( since i got used to it ). im wondering since i have a spare 220 would it be too heavy to hang on a standard 55 gallon tank? opinions wanted since i would love to beat the sh@# out of the 65 and then light it on fire!!!

![]() i would say it would be fine. if you compare the volume of a hagen aqua clear 110 to get an idea is only 3.55G max or ~35lbs. a coral life 220 is 5.3G max volume or ~53lbs. also since the aqua clear is much more boxy then a coral life skimmer, i would say its quite a bit less then 5.3G in one especially if the collection cup is empty and the water inside is less dense anyways because of air bubbles. i have seen 2 110's on 55G's no problems. i was even panning on putting two 110's on my first 20G. so i think the 2 coral life skimmers should be fine.

![]() Hang it close to a corner of the tank and you'll be fine.
