![]() 100% mantis from the second picture! Whatever he can catch is fair game for his supper so nope, I would say shrimp are NOT safe!

![]() Yup...100% that is a mantis shrimp.
Put some food on the end of a stick and wave it around in front of that hole. Good fun and great pets. Much more interesting than shrimp.
