If you use boot warmers, get the smaller glove warmers since the human ones usually get up to 140 F, or just check that they don't get too hot. The fish/reptile ones only get to 100 F.

Just picked up some hand warmers from Mark's Work Warehouse. Right now I'm running a test to see if how they work. They claim to run an average temp of 135F, to a max of 165F. I placed them in a box filled with styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap. I've used one warmer and placed it under the bag of water from my tank with my temp sensor running into the box. It seams to be holding an ambient temp inside of about 70.9F. Will post an update in the morning.

I used to ship my snakes using those heat packs. I would have to drive 5 hrs from Grand Prairie to Edmonton then put them on a plane to where ever. Sometimes it was 12 hours before they got to their destination. I never once had a problem when they were packed properly. I dont think you will have a problem with yours.

Well, last night the temp in the box peaked at 71.6F, which isn't bad I guess. This morning it dropped to 69.3. The corals will be a bit cool upon arrival but they'll be ok. I can always add another heat pack just to be safe.
