![]() What type of lighting do you have? Nems need alot of light, and dont like alot of flow. I've had my RBTA for over a year and hes never moved off the rock I bought him on.

![]() what size tank is that? By 2 t5's do you mean 2 tubes or two fixtures? 2 tubes isnt enough for a nem. you should concider upgrading your lighting to either halides or at least a larger bank of t5's.
Also watch he doesnt get too close to the powerheads or you'll have little pieces of nem all over your tank. Just my 2 cents. Last edited by Starry; 09-01-2009 at 08:15 AM. |

![]() our tank is 90gal (23"deep X 18"wide X 48"long with overflow on the back of the tank and we're running a sump 22"long x 12"wide x 18"deep which we keep half full for water exchange)
oh and our powerhead has one of those nifty foam padding filterthingys on it so im not worried about that. our lights are 2 Fixtures both HO and as for salinity as of last water change its sitting at about 1.026(which i used to think was a bit high considering the silly directions on the salt buckets suggets a salinity of 1.020-1.026 at 77F) |

![]() whoops sorry i knew there was a part of that i was forgettin!
any how each fixture has 1 54w 1000000k white bulb and 1 actinic bulb(the blue LOL)so 2 bulbs each fixture at 54w each i know it doesnt sound like alot but weve been told repeatedly that that should be and ok amount of light considering the fact we have about 5 1/2"of crush on the bottom and about 150 pounds (really rough guess) of live rock so the amount of space the light is really hitting is not a full 90gal tank |
