Activated cooling serves 2 functions. First is to maintain the ballasts within the optimal operating temperature range which increases the efficiency of the fixture by over 15%! Second it blows air across the end of the lamp + keeps the lamps cool. Overheating the T5 lamps can ruin their par values within as little as a few hours!
2) Individual reflectors
