![]() I was just wondering if anyone has or knows where to find a bicycle chariot, for children like the one the below. We looked at bow cycle, but they were a little out of our price range.
If anyone has one they'd like to get rid of, or knows where we could find a cheaper one, that'd be greatly appreciated. http://www.cycle-heaven.co.uk/Chariot%20Cougar%202.jpg

![]() Im in the market for one of these as well.
I got lucky and won a $600 GC for my local bike shop off the radio the other week. Just have to find some time to go spend it now. I wish you luck trying to find one used. I know how hard it is... ![]() |

![]() Haha, nice golden horseshoe Ryan!!! Yes I have been waiting to use that on you
![]() It's too bad Sport Swap went under, that's where I got my chariot from, they were somewhat cheaper than the mainstream bike stores. I found that these things really hold their value, I looked at used at sites like kijiji and craigslist and bargainfinder.com and usedcalgary.com and the good priced ones were always sold and the rest weren't really much cheaper than new. You wanna know something that will blow your mind? Chariot's are built in Calgary. I've seen the factory. You'd think we could get a break on the pricing since they don't have to ship them very far !!!! Anyhow good luck on your search.

![]() FWIW, I did when I was looking, and found that any of the bike shops were pretty close in price to each other. The best deal I found at the time was Sport Swap but now that I think about it, I wonder if it's because I had a 10% off coupon or something.
![]() For what it's worth ... I found that since they hold their resale value, it made it easier for me to swallow the pricetag of new. They are also, IMO, worth the price. The build quality is just that much better than others, they are really extensible (bike carrier, jogger, stroller). Mine is the double-wide which IMO makes it a bit impractical for a stroller but had I know that they can work as a stroller even for infants (toddlers I knew for sure, but I guess there's a sling kit you can get for newborns), I would have just not bothered with a stroller and put the money towards this instead (and maybe just gotten the single, but I dunno, if you can handle the fact that it's a tiny bit wide, it's perfectly fine as a stroller). Our stroller has about had the biscuit, we had to buy a new one, but the Chariot is still going strong. Also with some of the others that convert into joggers, I found that if there's a single arm for the front wheel assembly, then the asymmetry of it gives it a tendency to lean/steer in the affected side, which .. kind of sucks. The Chariot as a jogger runs nice and straight and smooth. Dunno if this helps. It's not the "here's how you can buy it cheaper" you might have been hoping for, but FWIW, it's a "here's how you can feel better about the price" sort of thing. ![]()
