Bangaii's & flow?

I want a Bangaii pair but I'm wondering if I have too high a flow for them. I have a 40g cube and run a vortech mp40w(which I run at more than 50%), is this most likely too much flow for a bangaii pair? I have a couple Threadfins but since moving them to this tank they hide in the back where there's not much flow.
