Captive bred Stichodactyla sp.

I was just informed that a couple of companies are collecting the sperm and eggs from Stichodactyla anemones and raising them. These companies are working out of Palau and, according to Charles Delbeek, are available through a wholesale outfit that advertise in FAMA. The anemones arrive around the size of a quarter. Charles has four (maybe three) that have grown to around 8" in the past two years. I forgot to ask if they were at home or at the Waikiki Aquarium but probably the latter as he has them in direct sunlight. As a point of interest; one of them is as bright a blue as the sky, his words not mine.

This was news to me and I thought I'd share it, don't laugh at me if this is old news.
