Default hydroids

Anyone know if "cooking" liverock will kill colonial hydroids?

I had a bad case of hydroids a few years ago. When my chiller broke, my temp of my tank went to around 90-95 degrees. It killed almost everything including my hydroids. I haven't seen a single hydroid since.

Try soaking your rock in water around 90 degrees and see if it works......

They are all on 1 rock so that shouldnt be a problem. Thanks

I had some, but not too many, mostly about 6 each in 4 clusters.
Took a propane torch to them and they never came back. And I saved the rest of the rock, little feather dusters survived.

Blow torch or as someone else suggested before (which is brilliant) soldering iron!! Cooking won't get rid of them...unless you do it on the stove!
