![]() Hi everyone, I have been using 250 watt DE bulbs that has traditionally came with a glass cover for the pendent, but I am switching to SE bulbs and pendent for cost reasons, but before I sent it up, anyone has any idea how I can protect the bulbs from water and if I should or not. I am scared of water getting on it and making the bulb explode... that would be so bad
![]() Thanks everyone.

![]() You don't have to keep the glass over SE bulbs as the already contain materials to contain the UV, while in DE bulbs, you need to add that pane of glass to filter the UV.
In the end, its up to you, if you want or not. I personally don't cover mine, and have never had a bulb break. Knock on wood, I hope I don't go home to just that. |
