Default aquamedic triple doser

hi wondering if anyone can help me, i bought this unit about 2 months ago but i find that it is not very accurate, could it be just this unit, i figured a dosing pump would be accurate to the ml but this one doesn't seem to be giving me the exact dose every pump its off + or - when i test it on the exact same time. How does it compare to the profilux or litermeter would those be the same or better. ??

I have the aquamedic double doser and yes it to is not accurate I tried to have it dose small amounts throughout the day and not good. I found your better off and more accurate with a dose of 15ml or more at a time for me twice a day. You really have to keep it greased up to keep it working. I have my part A&B supplements in clear sealed measuring containers, so over time I can reference off each other to see if they are staying accurate. I also restart the system and measure the amounts every once and a while. I am fed up with it and just recently bought a calcium reactor. Hope it goes better for you.
If you are using it for 2 pat supplement you'll have to check the lines mine tended to bung up, I switched from the back flow valve to clear 1/4inch tubing hard (r/o type) worked much better.

I am doing the exact same things, thanks for the 15ml tip going to try that, but i think i'm going to junk this and go with either the profilux or a calc reactor, I'm a lil iffy about a calc reactor cuz it seems complicated and seems like there would be a lot of fiddiling, what made you decide to go calc reactor route? i figure both 2 part dosing with a a good pump and a calc reactor are both roughly the same price with obviously upkeep cheaper on calc reactor.

I was looking for a new toy I'm kinda a tecnoweenie , I bought a reefkeeper 2 to control it and It really is quite simple. Co2 lowers ph in reactor making it acidic dissolving media, dripping rate and co2 adjusted to desired cal an alk. The regulator on a solenoid stops co2 with ph prob hooked to the reefkeeper . If ph drops to low reefkeeper cuts co2. hmm. I guess this may start to sound complicated but with every thing in this hobby research is a must. So far very happy, unit is dialed in and we'll have to see how it goes. I did have some bad alk swings with the 2 part and the doser. I haven't seen any problems yet with the switch.
