sorry to jack your thread but have you actually used this in sump? i have the 220 and am not sure if you have to do anything special or if you just put it in and plug in?im currently using it as a hob but would like to change to in sump.

This one was just used as a hang on but my mom has the same one and she is using it in her sump. No I am not close to Calgary. I am just outside Vancouver.
