![]() If it is iron bacteria, there is not alot you can do but shock the well. If there is a small amount of iron getting through, the softener will take it out (I believe a max of 3 ppm.) Check the tanks of the toilets, if there is alot of iron bacteria it will show up as a brown slimy goo inside the tank. I am in Calgary right now, I will check my books whwn i go back home tomorrow.
