Default Tunze 6060 not going well

I just spent three hours trying to find a spot in my 75G where the 6060 would work.
It was either blowing up sand like crazy or knocking the crap out of my corals. So suffice it to say it isn't in my tank. And I'm not sure if it will ever be.

I had the exact same thing in my 75g with the 6100. The controller was neat it was really cool to see the surge/slack/surge/slack but there was just no position where it didn't spew up my sand like NUTS or it wasn't blowing on some coral.

I came to the conclusion my tank is too small to be a suitable candidate for a stream. My tank is only 18" or 20" tall (can't remember exactly ... either way it's too short, really, causes problems in other things too). I think the streams are very fine units for tanks that are taller (>24"). Seen them now in a 24" tall tank and a 30" tall tank and they seem to work ideally for those tanks.

My pair of 6080's are just perfect but almost too much at times in my 230
72l x 24W x 30H. So I understand why you wouldn't want to use the 6060 on a 75 Mondo flow!

Until your tank fills in a bunch Jon, I'd keep an eye on that little Cooperbanded butterfly - he was gettin' blown around like a potato chip when he wasn't paying attention, and wandered into the flow...

When I got my 6060 it was tricky to find a position that worked just because the fact that my tank is a 3 sider and short. I'm planning on going to a bigger tank though if I move.

I'd buy your 6060 if you don't want it, payday isn't till friday though.

Hook up a riostat to the 6060? Then you can have as much or as little flow as you want. I use one on my oversized canopy fan so I can turn it down in the winter months.

I don't need to sell it as some day I will have a bigger tank. But if someone is willing to save the tax I will sell it to them.
so $175.00 with the AGA extension screws and suction cup (that was 15.99)
It was in water for about two hours
PM me if you want it

He's great now Alan. Right in there with the current chasing the food!
