Default refractomer help!

ok, so i just got a new sybon refractomer from J&L, and i take ti out, and hold it up to the light. its not super clear, and the instructions say that to make it more clear i should twist the black eyepiece. so i do, and guess what. the eyepiece part comes out by about half an inch. im like, thats odd, so i look in it again and everythign is very blurry. i tried pushing the eyepiece back in but it wouldnt budge. so please, help me, cuz i really hope i didnt break it 10 minutes after i got it. pics bleow show what happened:
