i don't have a picture right now, its this one from JL, works perfectly, but one side of the splash guard holder is missing and the quick disconnect has been re-wired. http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/s..._ID=MH-CPENA20

is it ready to go otherwise. not familiar with pendants, is there a balast and bulb included? does it need a ballast. would it be enough for a ten gallon on its own?

well basically what remote ballast means is the part that gets really hot isn't near the tank (best for small tanks) and yes it should be fine for a 10G it has a built in fan, and keeps rather cool. its working right now on a indoor garden. the bulb could probably use a change in a month or 3... depending on what you want to keep. but its plug and play. good enough light for clams and sps.
