![]() After seeing a fellow reefers mixed reef lit entirely by T5's, I was very impressed by the colour, growth, and general health of all of his corals. Can anyone suggest a good 8 x 54 watt fixture? The unit I saw in action was a TEK fixture, but just wondering what other options are out there as well as anyones comments on them. Thanks.

![]() Aquactinics fixtures are superior to the teklights because they are actively cooled and are available with Icecap's SLR reflectors and ballasts that overdrive the bulbs.
ATI probably makes the "ultimate" t5 fixtures but they are hard to get in North America. Reefgeek.com is the only vendor I am aware of. |

![]() the ati fixture is only a 7 bulb but probably nicer than the tek, i have a 8 bulb tek light with no complaints

![]() 7 bulbs is probably plenty unless you got a pretty wide tank, but Aquactinics and ATI is definitely a better fixture in that order (ATI being better). Price is almost double of the Tek fixture thou...
