Default painting acrylic

Can it be done?
I'd like to paint my exposed acrylic refugium black (except for the front panel) so that the opposite lighting schedule from my main tank doesn't keep me up at night (tank system is in the bedroom - no choice in that).
Thanks

Use a green scrub pad to clean and prepare the surface for painting, and use Krylon Fusion for plastic. You can either spray, brush or roll it on.

Krylon works very well it bonds with the plastic and doesn't chip like some other types.
