![]() How does one go about pruning back Palythoa without releasing toxins into the tank? I need to remove about 7 polyps from the colony, as they are encroaching on a favourite acro. Do I just remove them and then do a water change? How long do they release the toxin? Any help is appreciated.

![]() you could try syphoning them out at the same time as you are scraping them off the rocks. i have done this and i also do it with Valonia.

![]() if possible, take the rock out and frag it in a bowl of tank water, then get rid of the frag water
