Default Tokyo trip ideas

Hey guys,

I finally booked my trip to Tokyo a few weeks ago and wanted to get a few ideas from ppl as to what i should definitely see. Im only there for 2 weeks (June) so Im trying to cram in as much things as possible to do/see. I've also been looking online to see if I can find salt water fish stores to check out but didnt come across anything. Thought I could find some cheap drygoods or equipment, lol.

Things i want to do so far:
  • eat tons of sushi and ramen, haha.
  • visit a mountain side natural hot spring
  • check out playstation HQ
  • electronics shopping (hear there is a central spot for it)
  • maybe a sumo match?
  • Check out a few temples
  • Check out the aquariums (I guess there are 4 in Tokyo)

Not many ideas so far but thought you guys that have been there can help out.

Thanks,

I was last in Tokyo in May 2006. It is an amazing place to visit and with any luck I will be back again before the end of the year.

There is so much to see and to there.

For electronics Akihabara is the prefecture to hit, if you can try to go there on a Saturday that is the big shopping day for the Japanese, they shut down a number of the streets and you have all the vendors out and it is a sight to behold.

The Asakusa Shrine is a very humble place to visit, an amazing example of old Japan. Be sure the cleanse yourself in the smoke before you enter and throw a few coins into the pot and get your fortune. (it is in Japanese and English)

Imperial gardens is amazing it's large if you really want to do some walking.

For nightime fun Roppongi is the place to be. Amazing that at 2:00 in the morning the streets are filled with millions of people. My two favorite clubs are Geronimos and Wall Street. If you are looking for a gentlemens club you can visit One eye Jacks. Just make sure you have lots of room on your credit card.

I could go on and on and on so if you have any specific questions just ask

I plan to hit up the clubs quite abit during the night for some fun. 2 weeks just doesnt seem like enough time to do everything there.

Two weeks will go fast. I was there for a week and it dissapeared really quick. (I did have a few meetings during the time so it was not all pleasure)

Odaiba is another cool place, the future city. The museum of martime science is there and Toyota mega web is there too ...where they have this huge showroom of all their new and concept cars. If you have an international drivers liscence you can take some for a spin on their track as well.

It's worth the stop, It's a little bit of a train ride but that's half the fun.
