Default LF: 18" or 20" Light for covered tank.

.

Looking supplemental lighting for my 20" rimless cube.

I have a 150w 14k HQI pendant & would ideally like one of these
or similar to go with it.

Open to suggestions...

Thanks,

VFX.

Hi Viv; Got a 24" oceanic pc if you want to take a look. Older model but I put a new ballast in it about 6 months ago...come on over one night and take a look. Open to offers....

I think I would be looking at this:

http://oceanaquatics.com/store/produ...%22-Saltwater/

T5HO, and short enough to fit well on your sized tank. T5HO also gives you a lot better light than PC and this is half the price.

Just a suggestion though.

Unhappy

One note about T5 fixtures is make sure the bulbs are readily available by more than that manufacturer. T5 bulbs are sometimes custom made to the fixture maker /sellers specs. I found out the hard way. I can still buy the same fixture I have but the bulbs have been discontinued.

I had a look at the 20" PC 50/50 last night. Bulbs cost around $45 and seem particular to Coralife.

Not much cheaper than 150w MH bulbs.
