IE problem

I recently had some PC problems. Dont know what I turned off or screwed up but here,s the problem.

When I click on my hotmail on messenger, it opens the new explorer window but just keeps saying connecting without opening anything on the page. I can open my e-mail when a new e-mail pops up on the bottom.

Same when I search a specific forum on RC using the bottom search of that forum not the general search as here.

Everything else seems fine.

Anyone have any ideas>

Firewall issue maybe..or a spam blocker??

I had the same problem for awhile (never tried the RC bottom search thingy so I don't know if that was the same or not)

Unfortunately I have no idea why it doesn't do it anymore

sometimes get that on my laptop it's almost always when my connection is below 54.0 Mbps, but as for a pc hard to say really, wish i could be of more help, check you're network connections possibly? as mentioned earlier, firewall could easily be an issue, try also reupdating you're anti-virus program..

Simple fix. http://www.getfirefox.com

Other than that - Make sure you dont have any Pop Up Blockers - Pop Under blockers, or any ad munchers running. If in doubt reboot, and best of luck!

BV,I redid my anti-viris. Thats when the problem started. I have to agree guys, that its some blocker or firewall problem but still cant find it. Thanks for the ideas though.

Wetcoast, I did just that last night.

. Works fine. I can even open the RC searches now but still not my hotmail as its msn

Well ! I just corrected it. Tried turning off Spycatcher and it worked fine. So we were on the right track.
