![]() I'm tired of buying snails. Finally one of my snails laid eggs last night. How do you keep them alive? Can they be moved to a new tank to hatch and grow?

![]() I don't know what the secret is, but I've got hundreds and hundreds of little trochus snails chowing down on the algae in my tank. I think its just a matter of luck mostly, if the planets align and all parameters are acceptable, they will hatch and grow. Probably the biggest issue beyond basic water quality would be predation by other inhabitants. Those little tiny hatchlings make nice snacks for some fish and other reef creatures.
