![]() I bought a 108 gallon tank about 8 years ago and it has been sitting around so I finally decided to get it going. when I bought it the guy I got it from was running it as a reef tank and his main filtration was one of those eheim wet/dry canisters, I still have the eheim. I was wondering what you guys thought of using this canister filter with no media and just using it as circulation. The tank is undrilled.

![]() If the Eheim is 8 yrs old too, you might want to tripple check all the o-rings to make sure they are not going to leak. but your idea, of useing it as a circulation pump, is ok, i would actually add some carbon to a basket and use it for clarifying the water as well. (I did).
You could also throw a couple powerheads in the tank as well. |
