Default macroalgae splitting apart

i got this big bunch of red macroalgae called red weed, about a week ago and lately i've been finding a bunch of it's branches simply broken off and stuck to my powerhead and i don't understand whats going on, could the flow be too much? koralia 3 on the top right, and maxijet 900 on the top left, and the bunch of macroalgae is at the very bottom of the tank, are his branches possibly too long and need to be pruned? there about 3-4''

Got a photo? Almost every red macro has been called red weed by someone.

i do have a sailfin tang that i saw try it once, spit it out, and never try it again, so i'm almost positive it's not him, and from what I've read they produce some noxious stuff so predator herbivores can't eat them. As for a pic, no i don't have a pic directly of him but i found a pic on the internet of one that looks identical to him, this is it skylord-
