Default help with coral/anemone id?



It's about 1/4" across, came in on new indo rock. I have a feeling it's a majavo but I don't want to joe's juice it without confirming. It's kinda hard to tell but it appears that some of it's base kinda has coraline growth on it

I have one that looks like that in my reef. So they are bad news. As there is only one - could a person not just pull it off the rock and be done with it?

thought so. pumps are off and I'm getting ready to joe's juice it. Bad luck so far. Found an aiptasia on the new rocks earlier this week too.

It looks more like a bleached palythoa (aka brown button polyp) to me. I still say kalk it though, they are as big a pest as majanos
