can someone please explain what happened.
last sept i bought a sweet 1.5" emperor snapper and this sept he turned into a 10" monster. he is still very friendly and behaves like a dog more than a fish but im thinking he still has another foot to go still.so its a good thing i finally got my 300g set up.

Well their max size is about 40" so I would assume they grow very fast. It is likly you will find it outgrows even a 300G.

ya i know they get big.
most of what ive read sayes they max out at 30-36" in the wild and 24" in an aquarium so if he does get too big in another year ill just build bigger.i have room to turn that 300 into a 500-600 no problem but i still think its crazy how much one grows in 1 year. thank god i only feed them every 2-3 days
