ware to get water?

i was wondering where people with small tanks get their water from? I've been getting it out of a 24 hour dispencer by pet lovers but I am wondering just how pure the water really is,

When I first stared in this hobby with a 10G nano I would just get the refills of water jugs at Zellers.
