Unhappy Eating Seahorses

My friend had this picture taken of her eating seahorses in China. Aahh! It makes me sad:

For the sake of her safety and anonymity, I have changed her face

Should have put a sad face on her Drew. That's up there with shark fin soup, that makes me mad too. I wish they would just stick with ginger beef over there in China.

LOL! Funny you should have picked Ginger Beef. I copied this from Wikipedia:

"The origin of Ginger beef is disputed, but it is believed it is was originally created in Calgary, Alberta at the Silver Inn in 1974 by Louise and Alice Chan."

Nothing wrong with eating seahorses or shark fin (which is a delicacy dish).

Barring personal tastes, not everyone hs the opportunity to make $50,000+ per year like us.

If people in mainland China had to eat undomesticated dogs to fill their stomachs, so be it.

BTW, ginger beef is basically cheap meat that made a quick dish. Luckily, foreigners paid for it and ate it up like it was a special Asian dish. Owned.

Don't you mean pwned?

Actually, I have a big problem with the consumption of shark fin. For a slightly biased but somewhat reliable source of information on the acquisition of shark fin meat, rent "Sharkwater".

I've eaten dog meat! (in a burger...mmmm...)

I agree with Moogled.
Unless the fishing of the seahorses is endangering the species, what is different from them eating those to that of eating tuna?
is a fish not a fish?
Interesting some place a higher value on the life of a seahorse more so than other fish just because some of us(me included) consider them pets or exquisite little things.
Like I said, as long as it is not endangering the species and done in a humane process as possible, I have no problem with eating people eating fish.

I would disagree with the shark fin thing though simply because 95 percent of the shark is wasted and thrown back into the ocean.
Not cool to kill something so wastefully just for the mystical benefit of sharks fin.
if they want to fish Shark for their fins, at least come up with something to do with the rest of the body. As well, some species are becoming endangered because of the incessant fishing of them for their fins, which is definitely not cool. No species should be hunted to endangerment for any reason.
Just my opinion though and I am sure there are lots of differing ones.
