![]() Is the Coralife Aqualight T5 Strip Light considered a actinic because my Friend is setting up a reef tank and he has 3x 70w mh over a 33 g and wants to get actinic.
Heat is a like to the Coralife Aqualight T5 Strip Light http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro...qualightT5.htm the ones on the botto, with 2 lights. PS- he dosent whant to change the bulbs because they think that those are actinics. |

![]() Only one of those bulbs is an actinic bulb. The other is a 10K bulb.

so he's 1/2 right.

![]() I knew it its a 50/50 fixture i just posted this to prove to him that he is wrong he should scrap the 10k and get another actinic. Do you guys agree with me?

![]() Actinic light promotes the growth of Zoaxanthellae algae, essential for growth and well-being of all Photosynthetic corals and invertebrates [ not Macro algae.]
A good rule of thumb is to use one actinic and one or two daylight [ T5 ]
