Default sick xenia

i was on holidays for a few weeks and when i got back my xenia wasnt doing so hot. it was the size of a football (on a single rock) before i left and now its shrivelled right up to the size of a golf ball. All my other corals seem to be doing ok, i did a large w/c after i got home and that seemed to liven up the gsp which was a little lethargic but the xenia is about to kick it- any ideas?

They are hardy, but sometimes they seem more sensitive to certain things. When I treated my tank for cyano, my xenia died in a HURRY. All the other corals were fine. Some people think they show symptoms of bad health when something is amok....

Mine really doesn't like temps above 80. If it goes even to 81 the xenia shrivel up for a few days... but maybe there all a bit different

could certainly be the temp- with this nice weather my tank has been going between 84-88 degrees when it normally is set at 80

-gotta admit, my xenia is NOT active or productive when the temp hits 84+,
but then all species differ a bit, mines the pulsing xenia and u don't get much hardier than this coral!

That depends ther are alot more hardier spices to keep. Pulsing xinia is a moderate care level coral.

You left out Rosemary. Simon & Garfunkel would be disappointed.
